I wish to attend an intensive experiential learning opportunity via residency at the Homeport Art House in South Thomaston Maine in June 2022 under the guidance of my mentor Dale Andree. Throughout the residency, I will have both dinner conversations and one-one-one feedback sessions with Dale, as well as be introduced by Dale to the town and its people. This facilitation will allow for my learning in how to create meaningful, respectful and impactful ceremonies and rituals within communities that I am not already a part of. Since community ritual plays a big role in my vision for a new upcoming film "Tender Hearts," this opportunity is important as I will gain first hand experience in a supported setting. This inaugural ritual will act as a lab of discovery for me, giving my public art practice training in how humans can gather together, immersed in nature, with tasks of embodied connection to land, and encouraged magical thinking, to experience radical connection and healing.
