Hannah Jarrell

I have the opportunity to my return to my roots of culture and community where I will be mentored through an inter-generational learning expedition to Oaxaca with seasoned elders who have worked in this type of work for decades. I am invited to join an existing project and to assist my mentors in interviews and documentation and through this to learn directly from them. They will work with me to share their expertise in the cultural exchange work they have done and documenting along the way, and we will co-create ways of sharing this period of work and how to bring it home to my communities and exchanges in MA. In preparation for this project, I will hone a skill I have been developing in visual arts language development and graphic scribing and use it for the documentation and potentially for future sharing from this work.
