Inspired Relief aims to explore what it means to be well while destigmatizing mental illness. It's co-led by Keyona Aviles, Nicole N. Flynt, and Kaydene Grant—three Black women committed to creating safe, inclusive spaces. Inspired Relief’s This Is What Mental Health Be Like (TIWMHBL) is an immersive experience that invites community into genuine experiences of living with mental illness through interactive installations, workshops, and performing / visual art pieces. Think of TIWMHBL as a mother banana plant, there will be "slips" of gathered, protected, and nurtured, pop-ups of interactive pieces from the TIWMHBL event complete with correlating help access in prominent and sacred BIPOC locations across the city each with related helpers on hand for connection. Our Wholistivison Helper Kohorts function as intermodal play spaces for vetted helpers of the healing arts providing protected time to experience, create, and share across healing modalities together.
