The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston

On February 27 and 28, 2015, the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston (ICA) will present Shantala Shivalingappa’s “Akasha,” a work that combines Kuchipudi, a classical south Indian dance, with contemporary influences. In addition, Shivalingappa and the four Indian musicians for “Akasha” will participate in the ICA’s free Play Date program for families on February 28, introducing children and adults to the Kuchipudi dance form, with demonstrations and participatory activities.
