Remains, a new dance work by John Jasperse, will address the illusion of self as separate and the notion of legacy as interconnected cause-effect relationships with ones' environs. The work will be constructed with a notion of an extended body that involves physical objects and technology where the dance continues to exist in some form without the dancers. An ancillary version, remains of Remains, will be a “choreographic object”/performance installation presented separately or in tandem with the full performance. Estimated artist fee: $15,000/performance, $35,000/week.
