The Joyce will promote and present Dorrance Dance in 14 performances over two weeks during the winter holiday season at The Joyce Theater, December 19–31, 2017, with a possibility for extending the engagement into the following week due to ticket sales demand. Featuring an expanded version of Michelle Dorrance’s 2015 hit “Myelination,” set to original music by Donovan Dorrance and Gregory Richardson, Dorrance Dance’s upcoming engagement will also feature a to be determined world or New York City premiere. Possibilities for the premiere include a compilation of shorter works by other choreographers for exploring tap’s legacy or a holiday-themed work by Dorrance.
