The New England Dance Fund will help support a new performance collaboration between choreography, live sound, and visual installation, examining the various precarities within our climate and housing crisis. The NEDF will facilitate developing and presenting this new performance at the Burlington City Arts Center in downtown Burlington, VT, a venue primarily centered around visual art, yet is a space that acts as a gathering place for community engagement and action, interdisciplinary artistic practice, and social justice discourse. Working with collaborators rooted in dance, live music, and visual installation, the project aims to expand dance's potential within spaces prioritizing non-embodied art and widen the possibilities for dance-centered interdisciplinary performance within the Burlington and wider Vermont communities.
