Watching a loved one overdose haunts you in a way that will never leave your own body. bLUr is a highly physical and deeply visceral work that explores that haunting. Built in cycles that break and reform, blur illuminates the clash of internal cravings with the force necessary to resist them.  Working with a sonic score centering around a human heartbeat, and within a landscape of constantly shifting light, bLUr is about urgent interventions, tender rescues, howling hunger, and the blurry line between them. bLUr will premiere in the U.S. and Europe in 2025.

Estimated Artist Fee: Single Performance: One performance + 1 Community Engagement Workshop*. $9,500 plus housing, travel, and per diem. Company includes (6 total): 4 performers, 1 Technical Director/Production Manager, 1 Artistic Director/Choreographer, Kimberly Bartosik; Week-long residency includes 2-3 performances + 1-2 Community Engagement Workshops* plus post-performance dialogues. $16,000 plus housing, travel, and per diem. Company includes (7 total): 4 performers, 1 Technical Director/Production Manager, 1 Project Manager, 1 Artistic Director/Choreographer, Kimberly Bartosik.
