Artist Cedric “Vise1” Douglas will create a mural in honor of the Waltham Black Future Fund, an organization focused on antiracism, social justice, and youth empowerment. In order to reflect the diversity of our community, the design will emerge from conversations between Douglas, Waltham youth, and WBFF leaders. Related programming intersects with the annual teen Graffiti Camp that Douglas leads at the Waltham Public Library, culminating in a new, accessible work of public art that will transform our downtown and enable young people of color to see themselves honored on our city's walls.
