If awarded support, Levi Gonzalez will be able to invite collaborators Kayvon Pourazar (performer) and Senem Pirler (composer) to a week long residency in southwest Vermont at Black Hole Hollow where they will engage in critical research on Gonzalez’s newest commissioned performance work that will explore the ways the movement and sound material currently in development can engage with the natural landscape and with various methodologies of creating work response to site. This research will culminate in the first significant public sharing of the work with a local audience, whose input will substantively inform the work’s further development.
