Lincoln Center

Lincoln Center is thrilled to present Mark Morris Dance Group’s “Layla and Majnun” with the Silk Road Ensemble and singers Alim Qasimov and Fargana Qasimova during the 2017 White Light Festival. The project will showcase these renowned artists and ensembles in a program that blends Middle Eastern and Western music and dance traditions. An adaptation of the classic Middle Eastern folktale “Layla and Majnun,” the production will be the first large-scale presentation of this beloved story in the West. While details are still being confirmed, Lincoln Center anticipates presenting the work in the Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center in three or four performances in October 2017.
