Middlebury College's Performing Arts Series is excited to host the Baker & Tarpaga Dance Project from September 25-30, 2017. During this time, they will conduct context setting residency activities with our community, and students in Dance, Music, African Studies, and Sociology/Anthropology. The week will culminate in an African Music concert on Thursday September 28, and two performances of Declassified Memory Fragment on Friday-Saturday, September 29-30. Declassified Memory Fragment is a 70-minute dance theatre work with live music inspired by ideas and themes around memory, history, and images of some of the political and cultural realities currently affecting the continent of Africa.
