The MANNA Community

This project is a community responsive music program in collaboration with Patchtax where all the repertoire is chosen or written and performed by members of the downtown homeless community. A foundation in singing and musical language will grow through active employment of improvisation, songwriting, and group composition. These sessions will gradually transition into preparation for sharing publicly and will culminate in the first performance of the MANNA singers at the end of 2017. Patchtax will work hard to both learn from and guide the community in rich musical experiences.
