Marin Murakoshi

I am interested in expanding my skill and ability to create stone sculpture on a larger scale in a public setting and increasing the opportunity for the general public to appreciate newly produced stone works. Contemporary Arts International (CAI) located in Acton MA invites local/international artists to create permanent figurative granite works on the site in Acton. The site is located at the former granite quarry site with many untouched granite boulders. Each artist picks boulder from the granite pile and decides what to produce. Through 3 weeks of intensive work time with critical artistic direction, participants will not only expand their knowledge and skill of carving granite boulders, but also will make connections to the other artists and the general public.
