Mayo Street Arts (MSA) will present Dr. Susan Linn's "What the Duck?" as part of a residency designed to reach multiple communities in Portland.
Susan and her steadfast puppet companion Audrey Duck brought joy to children for decades, while helping them navigate life’s challenges. “What the Duck?” represents a new career twist, exploring the uncertain terrain of important topics for adults with the duo’s trademark combination of hilarity and insightful discussion.
Susan contemplates her own mortality, while her sidekick, Audrey Duck, faces the rude awakening that she, too, is mortal—because without Susan there is no Audrey. The show is a comedic but contemplative conversation around aging and end of life that is driven by audience interaction.
Susan’s residency will begin with a weekday morning matinée for residents of local retirement communities that will be invited to facilitate the purchase of tickets and arrange transportation, and an evening performance for the public.
