My current work with EHCC marks the beginning of a new linkage between the center and the university. Our focus is to refresh and re-brand the Center as a venue for art, performance, workshop, and cultural programming around the theme of community engagement: “We are home…homeless”. This travel would help move forward my intention to bring Bone Hill to Hilo, HI. I have engaged numerous town/gown collaborations. UH Hilo Volcano Art Center board (c. 1986 – 1990); and the East Hawaii Cultural Center board/executive committee (1994 – 2004), UHH Chancellor’s Diversity Committee (since 2010), Curator Volcano Art Center Sculpture Garden Project and East Hawaii Cultural Center (EHCC), Board (2016).
