Monroe Historical Society, Incorporated

The artist, Rita Parisi, will be presenting a one-woman show consisting of dramatic readings from author Sarah Orne Jewett. The performance will be in the 1811 Meetinghouse in the East Village/Barn Hill neighborhood. This building has been carefully restored to its 1811 appearance and this performance will allow us to show the building to the neighborhood and the public as it would have been in the 19th century. Lighting in the building is electric candles and chandelier which come very close to duplicating a candlelit atmosphere.
