Agua Furiosa is CONTRA-TIEMPO's newest full-length work, created by choreographer Ana Maria Alvarez with director Michael Garces & a team of musicians & designers. Inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tempest & Oya, the Afro-Cuban deity of wind and storms.The public performance of Agua Furiosa will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 7:30 PM in the Albuquerque Journal Theatre, Workshops, mastercalsses and discussions with the company are also planned residency activities.
