New Repertory Theatre, Inc.

Support from the NEAR Fund ensures New Repertory Theatre will continue its amazing recovery from years of deficits, debt, lost patronage and turnover. Led by Michael J Bobbitt, the theatre's first Black Artistic Director, New Rep is becoming a national model of audacious anti-racist theatre. In the last 10 months, New Rep has exceeded show income goals, increased audiences by 26% and ticket revenue by 43%. New Rep plans to continue this growth, correct salaries and expand the diversity of its audiences, Board, staff and artists. This Fund allows New Rep to adapt boldly to digital/outdoor programming, increase capacity for artists of color and remain committed to fiercely anti-racist actions.
