Presented as part of a two-year Live Feed Residency at New York Live Arts, Kaneza Schaal’s JACK& The Cotillion is a multi-disciplinary production that explores the personal mental and emotional process of societal reentry following incarceration. There were 8 performances over two weeks from April 17-27, 2019. The project partners with NYC-based organizations supporting formerly incarcerated individuals to give them complimentary tickets, recognizing the power of art as a tool to process experience, and the economic barriers that often prevent that population from accessing the arts.
