Spiritual, soul-driven, cross-cultural music. "Imagine Charles Mingus sitting in with a Klezmer band, playing Gospel music set to the polyrhythmic pace of the congas." Carlos Ramos, The Rainbow Reporter. Their music is a merging of the many elements of their cultures. Much of what they play has a strong spiritual center to it - their repertoire contains a heavy dose of music from the Jewish synagogue and the African-American church. In performance they tell stories about what the pieces mean, how they relate to them as individuals, and how they reflect upon the relations between Blacks and Jews.

We plan a performance, a pre-show talk featuring Rabbi Amita Jarmon and Shela Linton from The Root Social Justice Center and a post-even conversation between audience and artist about the underpinnings of their work, with a focus on BIPOC and youth in attendance.
