Next Stage Arts, based in Putney, VT, is thrilled to present a mesmerizing concert by Club d'Elf, a Boston-based band that has been captivating audiences for twenty-five years with their unique blend of Moroccan traditional music and electronic dubbed-out funk. Led by bassist/composer Mike Rivard and drummer Dean Johnston, each Club d'Elf performance features a dynamic lineup of talented improvisers from jazz, DJ, rock, and world music scenes across Boston, NYC, and beyond. The ensemble creates a sonic experience that transcends cultural boundaries. Along with their concert performance, Club d'Elf will offer a workshop and a post-show discussion, providing an opportunity for our community members to engage directly with the artists, explore their creative process, and learn more about the cultural influences behind their music. Presentation of Club d'Elf will create a meaningful opportunity for the local Southeastern Vermont community to connect through the experience of sharing music.
