Next Stage Arts Project

Next Stage Arts will present the critically-acclaimed Rhythm Future Quartet, a jazz group performing dynamic and fiery arrangements of Gypsy jazz standards and original compositions that draw from rhythms heard around the world. Founded in 2013 in Boston, the Rhythm Future Quartet’s intricate and creative arrangements break new ground with classic and Gypsy jazz favorites, their dedication and love of the music apparent to their listeners. The band will perform a double bill with The Smack Dabs, who specialize in good-time Swing Blues music from the 1930s. Along with the performance, the group will offer an educational workshop for local music students to increase their cultural awareness and exposure of this genre of music. Bringing the Rhythm Future Quartet and The Smack Dabs together into a double bill will create a cohesive and virtuosic presentation of classic Jazz and Blues musical styles that honor past legacies and resonate with audiences today.
