Next Stage Arts Project

Subject:Matter is a Boston-based tap dance company, under the direction of choreographer Ian Berg, with the aim of presenting new, cutting-edge tap dance work primarily in the Boston area. Since its inception in 2015, Subject:Matter has developed numerous pieces and traveled around the east coast, midwest and abroad.

The project that they will present during Next Stage's Summer Series, entitled Songbook, is an ever-changing and growing setlist of contemporary arrangements of jazz standards played with their touring band.The piece is classic tap dance and jazz with new twists. The engagement will be presented as part of our outdoor, summer series.
