Next Stage Arts Project

Gamelan Galak Tika Duo is a traditional Balinese gamelan “Gender Wayang,” performing music that traditionally accompanies shadow puppet plays. Presenting Gamelan Galak Tika Duo at Next Stage directly supports our vision of supporting Southeastern Vermont as a regional cultural hub and instigator of meaningful cultural experiences. Windham County is rich in programming in musical genres rooted in Western musical traditions, including traditional folk music. Our goal is to expand the dialogue to include musicians and genres from other cultures, as well as more experimental works.
