Urban Bush Women (UBW) will be in residency at NC State LIVE February 6-9, 2018. During this time, the company will have many opportunities to engage with our community both on and off campus through workshops, discussions, performance, and other outreach activities. At the culmination of the residency, UBW will perform Hair and Other Stories. This multidisciplinary evening-length work dives deeply into issues of body image, race, gender identity, and economic inequality – all highly relevant to our community, driven by current state politics and national movements like Black Lives Matter and the Women’s March.
