Mentoring Murals, with Greater Grove Hall Main Street, celebrates the legacy of the Black Mural movement and mentoring among Black Boston artists with rotations of printed murals at Breeze's Laundromat, Grove Hall. The project pairs established local artists with younger artists to co-create images that amplify the economic and cultural investments of Black Americans and represent Black power. This place-based pilot program extends large-format opportunities to non-muralists (Ekua Holmes, London Parker McWhorter, Johnetta Tinker), fosters exploration via mobile tour, and arose from N+T’s neighborhood listening series “N+T Asks: What Does Grove Hall Need?”
