ODC Theater will present Marksman née Unstruck, a new trio choreographed by Kate Weare and set to an original score by Curtis Macdonald. The work is an exploration of form as a direct route toward meaning. Dealing with proximity and energy between bodies in her physical process and the idea of Anahata, or unheard sound, in her collaboration with Macdonald, Weare brings to light what might be overlooked: resonance, timbre, and emotional inflection. Marksman née Unstruck is 45 minutes in length and premiered at Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM Fisher) in February 2015 as part of Kate Weare Company’s 10th Anniversary Season.
