Olivia Moon

Interested in the experimental potential of pole dance and its interaction with other mediums, Olivia Moon along with Jaina Cipriano, intend to activate the Cyclorama space in a week-long residency at the Boston Center for the Arts. Through pole dance, set design, and projection, they look to emphasize the vastness of the space in contrast to the minimal surface area a single person occupies. This duality will serve as a prompt throughout the week - how can two things exist at once? How can many things exist at the same time? Dualities and multiplicities abound in us all and the translation of this into physical space influences the movement research to come.
