The Washington, DC troupe Step Afrika! will perform the world premiere of Drumfolk at Penn State's Center for the Performing Arts on January 31, 2020. Drumfolk is an exploration of the drum as an instrument of community, resilience, and determination.

Step Afrika! will conduct residency activities at Penn State with undergraduate student and community groups from January 27-30. The visit will culminate with a School-Time Matinee performance the morning of January 31, and a public performance that evening. A talkback will be held at the conclusion of the evening performance.
