To support the co-commission of An Untitled Love, performed by A.I.M (previously known as Abraham in Motion) in their Houston debut at the Wortham Theater Center’s Cullen Theater, along with accompanying outreach activities, presented by Society for the Performing Arts. An Untitled Love is the first in a series of four full evening works exploring themes of love in the Black community. SPA co-commissioned this piece, choreographed by Kyle Abraham in collaboration with A.I.M, to highlight the organization’s goal to reflect and celebrate the diversity that exists within Houston through the artists it presents onstage. In addition to the May 6, 2022 performance, Mr. Abraham and A.I.M will embed themselves in the community, participating in a series of public forums and exchanges in community centers that focus on Houston’s recently gentrified and historically Black neighborhoods.
