Performing Arts of Northeast Connecticut

Performing Arts of Northeast CT will present 4 performances over two days of the Boston Lyric Opera's abridged version of Mozarts's The Magic Flute to approximately 3200 schoolchildren. To prepare the students, teachers will receive a multi-media, interactive study guide. Prior to the performances, artists will travel to 26 schools to engage children in small, interactive workshops to introduce them to the art form, the music, the story and the characters. All this is provided FREE to schoolchildren, primarily in underserved areas.
