In March 2017, Portland Ovations will present Jenny Scheinman's multimedia project "Kannapolis: A Moving Portrait" at Portland's Hannaford Hall. Scheinman and her band's richly layered work will be bolstered by numerous outreach activities to create resonance within thecommunity, including: workshops with Art and Music students at the Maine College of Art; pre-performance lecture by a local scholar, post-performance talk back with the artists, and tour-partner commissioned program notes.
