In Fall 2022, Portland Ovations presents Garba360, a community dance and live music event steeped in traditions originating from the Gujarat state of Western India. Free and open to the public, this joyous outdoor event will open Ovations 92nd season, serving people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Aligning with the annual Navaratri Celebration, this presentation will allow Ovations to make meaningful connections with and highlight the cultural facets of one of Portland’s many cultural communities: Maine’s small but growing Hindu populations.
