Puppet Showplace Theater will present Sandglass Theater’s BABYLON: JOURNEYS OF REFUGEES in January 2019 at the Modern Theatre in downtown Boston. This internationally-touring production, devised by one of the country’s premiere puppet companies, will educate, entertain, and cultivate empathy in diverse audiences seeking nuanced engagement with the plight of refugees in the contemporary world. The show’s impact will be amplified through partnerships with Suffolk University’s academic departments, through year-long public conversations planned with the Ford Hall Forum, and outreach to Boston’s refugee and immigrant communities in partnership with the International Institute of New England.
