The Hopkins Center will host Ragamala for three week-long residency periods in order to develop and implement thoughtful, deeply rooted, and replicable plans and strategies for community engagement around Fires of Varanasi that can be adapted to fit the needs/interests/capacities of presenters and communities across the U.S. Programs will be designed to engage 1st- and 2nd-generation immigrant populations and the broader communities in which they live, work, and study, with the goal of a) inviting diverse audiences to feel connected to, invested in, and reflected through the company’s work, and b) inspiring reflection and conversation about our diasporic identities and evolving communities.
