This World Made Itself is a live, multimedia performance with projected animation. As artist Miwa Matreyek steps behind the screen, her shadow becomes an integral part of her animated worlds. The piece tells the story of the earth from its beginnings to our current, complex age, alternating between semi-scientific and dreamlike, fantastical tones. Miwa will also perform an earlier work, Myth and Infrastructure, in which artist traverses oceanscapes and cityscapes in a magical exploration of the world around her and within her.
