The Want of Spring at Woven Roots Farm in Tyringham, Massachusetts, offers an immersive ritual experience designed by artists Renee Benson, Doria Bramante, and Jen Salinetti. This year-round accessible journey will take participants along a path carved into the ancestral Mohican land that the farm stewards, featuring structured rituals that align with the changing seasons. There will be options for a self-guided tour with optional QR-coded narration and musical compositions for local residents, and a small group-guided tour that includes live performances, aimed at both locals and seasonal visitors. These experiences are intended to deepen connections to the land, promote physiological and psychological balance, and foster a sense of community among participants. The trail integrates art, performance, music, sculpture, ritual, and sustainable farming practices to encourage direct engagement with the land and its history.
