The Richard and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center will present a public performance of Contra Tiempo's “joyUS justUS”, an evening-length participatory Urban Latin Dance Theater experience that takes on joy as the ultimate expression of resistance, in November 2018. In addition, Contra Tiempo company members will provide education outreach to Long Beach area elementary schools, culminating in a special school time performance. Company members will also provide a master class to CSULB Department of Dance students and a free community engagement activity before the public performance.
