Sandglass Theater

Sandglass Theater will present Ornan Braier’s "Little Love Machine" at the 2024 Puppets in the Green Mountains: Just Around the Bend festival of international puppetry. "Little Love Machine" is a one-man performance likened to Charlie Chaplin. This delightful performance is based on Ornan’s Grandfather, an artillerist-turned-toymaker who, he claims, invented Israel’s first washing machine. Steeped in processes of creation and familial storytelling, “Little Love Machine” is an imaginative, award-winning piece that tells the story of a magical machine that serves as a home for a lonely man, inevitably opening a secret door to the world of magic, rhythm and love. This presentation is a family show without language; especially important in our region as we are resettling many new international residents in the Brattleboro area.
