Seattle Rep’s Associate Artistic Producer Kaytlin McIntyre will travel to Ashland, OR to attend DR. G’S BINGO EXTRAVAGANZA, an experiential, community-based performance project by Erika Chong Shuch’s For You collective. During her time in Ashland, McIntyre will see a performance of DR. G’S BINGO EXTRAVAGANZA and meet with Shuch to learn more about For You’s creative process and working relationship with producing partner, Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Our goal is to research innovative techniques for creating community-centered performances. Additionally, we hope to begin a relationship with For You with the intention of producing future experiential, community-based projects at Seattle Rep through our New Works program, which includes our robust 20x30: Reimagining the Anthropocene commissioning initiative and our new play development series, The Other Season.
