The Somerville Arts Council proposes to make permanent a temporary public sculpture. This piece of sculpture is by Bevan Weissman and is called RippleRun. This whimsical abstract work, made of stainless steel and concrete, is especially dynamic when it rains as water ripples and runs down the pieces various horizontal planes of glass. Situated in Union Square plaza, near an active bus stop, RippleRun is appreciated by a constantly rotating audience.
