"Tense Vagina: an actual diagnosis" is about motherhood, its beauty, challenges, isolation, humor and identification as a major influence on the human experience. This evening length solo, created and performed by Sara Juli, will use humor, movement, song, text and audience participation to peel a layer back and reveal all that is awesome and all that sucks when it comes to being a mother. This is not a classic motherhood dance but rather focuses on the parts of motherhood that are taboo and NOT often discussed such as: loss of bladder control, sexual libido, tears, loneliness, and monotony, ultimately connecting with parents and nonparents alike.
