Spiderwoman Theater will be travelling to Minneapolis from May 18 – 21, 2023. We have had a very long relationship with the Indigenous and women’s arts communities there. We want to tour our latest production, Misdemeanor Dream to Minneapolis to honor that relationship. We will be laying the groundwork to build connections with Native communities and the Pablo Center in the Eau Claire, WI area, so we can organize a tour to that area.

Post-Covid, budgets have been cut in arts and social justice organizations and so it has been difficult to find potential presenters for the show. We will be there in person to strategize. On Day 1, we will take part in meetings in Minneapolis with the Native Studies and Theater Departments University of Minnesota and travel to Wisconsin to meet at the Pablo Center and a supper mtg. On Day 2, we will host a “Pulling Threads Fabric Workshop” and a Get Together gathering in the evening for Native artists, potential presenters and arts organizations.
