The Steel Yard is a non-profit industrial arts center and shared studio located in Providence, RI. We're an urban craft school that specializes in the teaching and practice of blacksmithing, welding, jewelry, ceramics and the foundry arts.
The Steel Yard’s educational programs give people tangible and creative skills to help them to learn, share and collaborate. These programs are at great risk of COVID financial and scheduling disruption and yet offer profound opportunities for cultural and economic recovery to our organization and community.
NEFA Funds will support Artist Fees, Staff Salaries, Overhead and Facilities that people depend on for education in industrial craft.
