April 5th - 7th, 2021, Pinkerton Academy will host a performance residency with David Dorfman Dance. In (A) Way Out of My Body, DDD conjures portal after portal of our collective dreams, desires, the every-day and the new worlds awaiting us. Fantastical lighting design and a haunting live sound score break the barrier between spectator and performer creating a visceral connection that curiously totters between various states of embodiment.
In addition to a public performance and Q&A, DDD will offer a community workshop,school-day performing and culinary arts students. There will be offerings for local dancers and senior citizens, serving DDD’s mission “to get the whole world dancing”.
