Radio Play(s) is like a performed podcast. Co-hosted by literary performer Regie Gibson and composer Guy Mendilow, each “episode” unpacks a timely theme through a collection of stories, whether told through the spoken word or through musical segments. A continuous score unites each episode, performed by a world-class, multiethnic sextet. The purpose of each episode is to conjure poignant conversations exploring the struggles, complexities and nuanced contradictions of being fully human and of seeing others as fully human.Radio Play(s) also aims to inspire personal connections across differences of culture, history and background through the direct emotional language of music and stories.
