Strawbery Banke Museum

The 2020 skating season will be the sixth year of collaborating with Ice Dance International to bring professional skaters to Portsmouth. The nostalgic outdoor rink, Labrie Family Skate at Puddle Dock Pond, exists to further SBM's mission of serving as ‘a place to gather’ and has become a vibrant community gathering spot during the long New England winters. This partnership with IDI provides community performances, classes, and other opportunities for engagement that would otherwise not exist. Due in part to enthusiastic response from the public, SBM intends to build upon IDI programming in 2020 with a longer eight-week engagement and the premiere of their latest work.
