Transformative Culture Project

TCP provides opportunities for urban youth and adult artists to grow their artistic, job readiness and business skills to foster personal growth, generate income and produce community impact. We offer transformative arts education that aligns with young people’s needs, and relates to their cultures and experiences. We disrupt traditional power models by providing public platforms that prioritize the voices of youth of color, immigrant youth, and youth who have experienced trauma. Centering personal growth and self-determination; we cultivate skill development and amplify young people’s stories and help them reach their goals. Building an environment of community belonging and authentic leadership, we prioritize relationship building, intergenerational connections and mentorship. By including adult artists as partners in our constituency, we not only invest in our youth, but also in the future of their communities.
