For the past decade, Twenty Summers—the beloved Provincetown-based arts nonprofit—has championed creative freedom by providing a platform for original projects and innovative ideas. To build on the success of our inaugural outdoor concert series at Truro Vineyards last summer, starting this coming July we will host another season of engaging and accessible concerts for the public that continue to amplify artists working at the intersection of art and social justice.
We have invited Mali Obomsawin, a bassist, singer, composer, and songwriter from Odanak W8banaki First Nation, who is also an advocate for Indigenous rights, to perform. With an eclectic background in jazz and creative music, American roots & folk, and indie rock, Obomsawin’s work draws from a wide array of music traditions. A diverse crowd will gather at the Truro Vineyards to enjoy Obomsawin’s new trio – featuring vocals, electric guitar, and drums – performing her original songs and compositions.
